Bourbon-Glazed Grilled Chicken:
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Chopped green onions (for garnish)
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Place the chicken breasts in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or preferably overnight. Grill the marinated chicken over medium-high heat until fully cooked, basting with the marinade as it cooks. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
Bourbon and Honey Glazed Chicken Wings:
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings
1/2 cup bourbon
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Sesame seeds and chopped cilantro (for garnish)
Instructions: In a bowl, combine bourbon, honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the chicken wings in a large Ziploc bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the wings. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Arrange the marinated wings on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through. Once done, transfer the wings to a serving plate and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro.
Bourbon and Brown Sugar Glazed Drumsticks:
Ingredients:
8 chicken drumsticks
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh thyme (for garnish)
Instructions: In a saucepan, combine bourbon, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let it cool. Place the chicken drumsticks in a large resealable bag and pour the cooled marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the marinated drumsticks for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the marinade. Once cooked, transfer the drumsticks to a serving platter and garnish with fresh thyme.
Bourbon BBQ Chicken Sandwich:
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup bourbon BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
4 hamburger buns
Coleslaw (optional, for topping)
Instructions: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side or until fully cooked. During the last few minutes of grilling, baste the chicken with the bourbon BBQ sauce, allowing it to caramelize. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill. Assemble the sandwiches with the grilled bourbon BBQ chicken and optional coleslaw. Serve immediately.
Bourbon Glazed Chicken and Vegetable Skewers:
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into chunks)
1 red bell pepper (cut into chunks)
1 red onion (cut into chunks)
1/4 cup bourbon
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Place the chicken chunks, red bell pepper, and red onion in a large resealable bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken and vegetables onto skewers. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with any remaining marinade. Once the chicken is fully cooked and vegetables are tender, remove the skewers from the grill and serve.
Bourbon-Glazed Salmon:
Ingredients:
4 salmon fillets
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Marinate the salmon fillets in the mixture for at least 30 minutes. Grill or bake the salmon until cooked through, basting with the marinade occasionally.
Bourbon-Maple Pecan Pie:
Ingredients:
1 pre-made pie crust
3/4 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
3 eggs
1/4 cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, brown sugar, bourbon, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Arrange pecan halves in the pie crust and pour the filling over them. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the filling is set.
Bourbon-Glazed Grilled Peaches
Ingredients:
4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
1/4 cup bourbon
2 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
Vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Instructions: In a bowl, whisk together bourbon, honey, and vanilla extract. Place the peach halves in a shallow dish and pour the bourbon mixture over them. Let them marinate for 15-20 minutes. Grill the peaches over medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side, basting with the marinade. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Cocktails
Classic Old Fashioned
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
1 sugar cube or 1/2 tsp sugar
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Orange slice
Maraschino cherry
Instructions: Muddle the sugar, bitters, orange slice, and cherry in an Old Fashioned glass. Add bourbon and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Fill the glass with ice, stir again, and garnish with an orange peel twist.
Bourbon Sour
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz simple syrup
Instructions: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add all ingredients. Shake well, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon slice.
Kentucky Mule
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
3-4 oz ginger beer
Instructions: Fill a copper mug with ice, add bourbon and lime juice, and top with ginger beer. Stir gently and garnish with a lime wheel.
Bourbon Smash
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
1/2 oz simple syrup
Fresh mint leaves
Half a lemon (cut into wedges)
Crushed ice
Instructions: Muddle the mint leaves and lemon wedges in a glass. Add bourbon and simple syrup, then fill the glass with crushed ice. Stir well and garnish with a sprig of mint.
Bourbon Manhattan
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
1 oz sweet vermouth
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Maraschino cherry
Instructions: Fill a mixing glass with ice and add bourbon, sweet vermouth, and bitters. Stir well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
Bourbon Hot Toddy
Ingredients:
2 oz bourbon
1 tbsp honey
3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
Hot water
Cinnamon stick (optional)
Instructions: In a mug, mix bourbon, honey, and lemon juice. Fill the mug with hot water and stir until the honey is dissolved. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
